Walsh Signature Staffing is a boutique advisory and executive search firm supporting private households, family offices, and trusted advisors with complex staffing decisions. Our work is rooted in discretion, discernment, and long-term alignment. The questions below address the most common topics from both clients and candidates.
We will be direct during intake about market conditions, compensation alignment, candidate availability, and any structural issues that may limit the search. If we do not believe we can deliver successfully, we will say so before beginning.
We support staffing across private households, family offices, and related environments. This includes domestic, estate, and leadership roles such as Estate Managers, House Managers, Chiefs of Staff, Personal and Executive Assistants, Nannies, Housekeepers, Private Chefs, Butlers, Domestic Couples, Chauffeurs, and full household or estate teams.
We also support staffing for yachts and private aviation on a selective, case-by-case basis, depending on scope, structure, and operational needs. All roles are evaluated during intake to ensure alignment and feasibility.
Yes, selectively. Part-time and seasonal roles are evaluated based on location, scope, schedule, and overall structure. Because our model is performance-based, we only take on searches where we believe we can deliver successfully.
Our vetting process is multi-tiered and intentionally rigorous. Every candidate is evaluated for experience, longevity, behavioral fit, communication style, discretion, and alignment with the household or organizational environment.
In addition to traditional screening, our team brings formal academic training in psychology and sociology, which informs how we assess interpersonal dynamics, leadership alignment, and long-term fit. Personality and behavioral assessments may be incorporated at a client’s request, particularly for leadership or high-impact roles.
Our focus is not quantity. It is discernment.
Once intake is complete and scope is clearly defined, clients typically see qualified candidates within 3–5 business days (or 5–7 business days for more remote or specialized locations).
Placements have occurred in as little as three days, while more complex searches with extended interview processes may take several months. Most searches are completed within two to nine weeks. Timelines are influenced by proximity, role complexity, and client availability for interviews and feedback. We do not accelerate a search at the expense of long-term fit.
Walsh Signature Staffing operates on a non-retained, non-exclusive, performance-based model. Fees are calculated as a percentage of first-year compensation and are outlined clearly before work begins. Fees are invoiced upon the candidate’s start date, in accordance with the client agreement.
To protect consistency and integrity, No. Refunds are not offered.
All placements include a defined guarantee. If a placement does not work out within the guarantee period, we conduct a replacement search at no additional cost. If a replacement cannot be completed within the agreed timeframe, a credit may be applied toward a future placement, as outlined in the client agreement.
Trials allow both the client and the candidate to confirm fit before a formal offer. Trial length varies by role and seniority and is discussed during intake. Compensation during trials is paid directly by the client. Walsh Signature Staffing briefs both parties in advance on expectations, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Discretion is foundational to our work. Client names, addresses, and identifying details are not disclosed until appropriate. Candidates may be required to sign NDAs. All communication is handled with respect for privacy, security, and the integrity of existing relationships.
Yes. We operate nationally and support clients across major UHNW markets. That said, we take geography, logistics, urgency, and feasibility into account before accepting an engagement. We reserve the right to decline searches that fall outside a scope where we can confidently deliver.
We are intentionally selective. We do not operate as a volume agency. We assess how households and organizations function, how teams communicate, and where structure and clarity are required for long-term success. Our clients value discretion, judgment, and outcomes over speed or scale.
Candidates may submit a resume through our website or via email to Candidates@walshsignaturestaffing.com. Every submission is reviewed. A recruiter will reach out if your experience aligns with current or upcoming searches.
You will have a one-on-one conversation with a recruiter to discuss your experience, communication style, compensation expectations, location, availability, and readiness for private household or UHNW environments. We assess both technical skill and behavioral fit.
Beyond qualifications, we want to understand who you are, what motivates you, and what your ideal role looks like. Our goal is to make thoughtful matches where candidates feel aligned and fulfilled, which in turn creates exceptional outcomes for our clients.
Candidates should maintain a clean, professional, up-to-date resume, two to three references, a professional headshot, and any relevant certifications. Chefs should also be prepared to provide a food portfolio or sample photos.
Trials allow candidates to showcase their skills in a real working environment while also giving them the opportunity to assess whether the role and household are the right fit. Candidates are compensated directly by the client, typically at a standard trial rate that is not reflective of the final salary or hourly compensation should an offer be extended.
Prior to the trial, Walsh Signature Staffing provides clear guidance on expectations, professionalism, communication, and discretion to ensure both parties are set up for a successful experience.
Professionalism, discretion, reliability, emotional intelligence, and strong follow-through are essential. These roles require consistency, respect for privacy, and clear communication.
Candidates may update us whenever availability, location, or compensation expectations change. We reach out directly when there is a strong alignment. Daily check-ins are not necessary.
We communicate clearly at every meaningful stage. Candidates are informed when they are submitted, advanced, or declined. Our process is direct, respectful, and aligned with the standards of private households and family offices.
