  • Schedule: Monday through Friday at residence is standard. FLEXIBILITY NEEDED
A private high-net-worth couple is seeking an experienced House Manager / Personal Assistant to oversee the daily operations of their residence while providing dedicated support to the lady of the house. This role requires a polished professional with a strong background in UHNW households, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable supervising a small household team, maintaining meticulous administrative and household systems, and executing both operational and personal support tasks with discretion and efficiency. This position works closely with the family’s Chief of Staff, who is based in the Midwest, and requires clear communication, adaptability, and a high level of professionalism.


A strong foundation in hospitality, formal service, and private home operations is essential, along with the ability to create a warm, well-run, and supportive household environment.


Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage small household staff that includes two housekeepers
- Oversee the physical property and manage household staff schedules
- Oversee all vendor management & negotiations to be presented to the Principals
- Procure residential equipment and supplies needed
- Work in conjunction with the family office based in the Midwest, taking direction from the family's Chief of Staff.
- The ability to assimilate to an already established team is top priority.
- Excellent communication skills in all formats - text, email, verbal.
- Attention to detail in all areas with the ability to see the bigger picture
- Working collaboratively with Chief of Staff and household staff, such as the
housekeepers, chef, chauffeur to ensure consistent top-tier service levels
- Scheduling and overseeing vendor/sub-contractor appointments for preventative maintenance (landscaper/irrigation, lighting, pest control, HVAC, generators, AV media systems, home automation systems, security systems, etc.)
- Build and maintain quality relationships with vendors and sub-contractors
- Conduct regular walk throughs of the property to assess the condition of each
room and its contents so they are meeting expected premier quality standards. If necessary, should suggest enhancements to existing preventative maintenance programs to ensure the long-term integrity of the property.
- Must have prior experience with antiques, fine art and silver and subsequent
knowledge of these items
- Shopping for food (when the Chef is not in residence), supplies, and other
requested items, ensuring pantry and supplies are well stocked.
- Collaborating with the Chief of Staff on planning and execution of events in
residence from formal dinner parties to informal get togethers at home
- Knowledge of formal service. Setting the dining table with proper place settings.
- Maintaining wine cellar inventory through eSommelier system. Knowledge of
wines is a huge plus but not mandatory.
- Comfortable serving dinner for the principals and guests (no more than 4-5
people) whenever necessary
- Be the right hand to the Mrs. of the house, while at the same time providing
support to the Mr. whenever necessary.
- Execute ad-hoc projects, tasks, research and reports for the family.

Requirements
- At least 5 years relevant work experience in a formal home with staff
- Outstanding written and verbal references from previous positions
- Utmost sense of confidentiality and discretion
- Must be able to be directed by off-site leadership for daily tasks and larger
projects
- Must be able to respond to requests with a sense of urgency
- Experience managing a household staff and willingness to be hands-on is a
must.
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills; ability to work with many different personalities
- Superb command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Tech-savvy with understanding of smart home technology and in depth
knowledge of digital applications and services.
- Proven leadership, management, and organizational skills with high standards for impeccable customer service. Consistent accuracy in execution of tasks.
- Superior project management and time-management skills. Must be able to
prioritize and see projects through to completion.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills. Critical thinking is a must.
