Salary
$400 per day

Private family in the Hamptons is seeking a polished, proactive, and hands-on seasonal Houseman to support the home throughout the summer season. The family is flexible on schedule and open to either weekend-focused live-in coverage from Friday through Monday or full-week live-in support. This role is ideal for someone service-minded, organized, and adaptable who can help keep the property running smoothly, well maintained, and guest-ready at all times.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day readiness, cleanliness, and overall presentation of the home
  • Maintain and monitor outdoor living spaces, including the pool and pool area
  • Assist with service during family and guest stays, including light hosting support and general table/service assistance
  • Coordinate vendors, service providers, and any additional household support as needed
  • Manage household inventories and ensure key supplies are stocked and organized
  • Handle errands, sourcing, and general property support as needed
  • Monitor maintenance needs and flag issues proactively
  • Ensure the property is prepared ahead of arrivals and fully reset after departures
  • Provide flexible, hands-on support to help maintain a polished, welcoming, and well-run home environment
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working in a private home, estate, or similarly high-level hospitality environment
  • Strong understanding of household operations, presentation, and service standards
  • Comfortable supporting both interior household needs and outdoor/property-facing areas
  • Warm, polished, low-ego demeanor with a highly service-oriented mindset
  • Able to work independently, take initiative, and anticipate needs
  • Comfortable in a hands-on role and willing to jump in where needed
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Discreet, trustworthy, and professional at all times
  • Flexible and available for a live-in summer schedule
  • Valid driver's license preferred
